Upcoming Meetings:
Our next meeting will be held on December 5th, 2008, and hosted by the Bodega Marine Lab. Ryan Branciforte from the Bay Area Open Space Council will be giving us an insider's look at their Upland Habitat Goals project. Claudia Luke, manager of the Bodega Marine Reserve, will provide an overview of the State Coastal Conservancy-funded the Sonoma-Marin Coastal Prairie Mapping Project.
Past Meetings:
July 20th, 2007 - Our last meeting was hosted by the Gold Ridge RCD at their historic Valley Ford School House in Valley Ford, CA. We had 21 representatives from 13 different organizations and agencies. Featured this meeting was an update on the various conservation planning efforts underway in around Sonoma County. Also, SSU professors Mateo Clark and Caroline Christian presented the results of a student project using MARXAN for reserve design in the Laguna de Santa Rosa. And folks from the Sonoma Ecology Center shared their new weed mapping tool, GeoWeed. Download the Agenda and Attendees List (120kb PDF).
November 30th, 2006 - Hosted by the Sonoma Land Trust. Feature: Connecting Communities and the Land presentation by Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District staff.
